E-Books are slowly making their way into everyday life. Likewise, textbook publishers are starting to produce textbooks at e-books too. As electronic copies, they can be reproduced as many times without felling any trees at all.
While e-textbooks are not very common at the moment, they have great potential. They fulfil the basic function of textbooks - that is, portable knowledge for students - and appeal to an increasingly digital-savvy generation of students.
