To explore the ecological footprint of a modern high-school student.
What is an ecological footprint? Simply put, it is a calculation that estimates how much of Earth's land and water is needed to supply resources for an individual. As we are exploring the ecological footprint of a students, we are essentially determining how a student can potentially impact the environment. For example, did you know that for every tree felled, only 24 books are produced?
We hope that through this site, students will become more environmentally aware of their impact on the Earth. We have identified several areas of student life that affect the environment and proposed some ways to alleviate the problems caused.
